Summer is such a busy time isn’t it? For those of us that live in the northwest we have to get out and enjoy the sun as much as possible. We never know how long it is going to last. We know that rain is never far away. lol But do you find yourself putting your workouts off because you want to go visit? Try and get your workouts in with unusual activities.
Weeding is not cardio. I know you sweat your forehead off, but it’s not getting your heart rate up high enough to count as a cardio workout.
However, it is burning calories and that is always good. Put your favorite music on and sing while you are weeding. Try to keep tempo with
the music, maybe you can get close to cardio with it. lol
Walk the dog every night or morning with the family. So the daytime may be too hot where you are, but it’s not that way all day. Your dog needs exercise just as much as you do. Get them all out there moving. You can go over plans for that day or the next while you are walking. Even better if you can jog some of it. Put the kids on bikes or scooters and jog for as long as possible.
Play at the park with them. Don’t take the kids to the park and then sit there reading or just watching them. Get over there and play with them. You are burning calories and keeping them entertained at the same time.
Deep clean the house. From top to bottom. This is when you know you have to get the music cranking. You can get some cardio in with a good mopping and vacuum session. Power wash those windows and scrub those counters. You’ll get an arm, back and chest workout as well.
Plan something active for everyday. There is no reason why you can’t get moving for 20-30 min. Your entire house will benefit from the together time and the exercise.

Please don’t remind me about the counter scrubbing workout ~lol~ I’m tired of it! Moving, cleaning, unpacking, more cleaning, ugh never ending cleaning vicious cycle. My legs are soooo tired.
