I've been there before. You are absolutely right Val. Alcohol can't solve my depression. I can advice you that you must stay away from alcohol and any kind of drugs. They can hurt you deeper.

I have social anxiety and suffered with it for almost twenty years before finally seeking help. I always assumed I was just shy but after talking to my doctor, he diagnosed me with social anxiety and prescribed me a medicine. Since then, my life has bee completely different and I no longer get uncomfortable in crowded situations like I used to.

I used to get anxiety attacks often. I refused to see a doctor about it, well because I knew what was causing them, I had them younger too. Mine were (are on a rare occasion now) induced by stress. If it wakes me up in the middle of the night I have a hard time controlling it.

I use a lot on that list to control it any other time I feel one come on. I have had 1 anxiety attack in a year. They used to be as bad as 3 nights a week.
